Working Group 2: Weights and Weighing Instruments

Working Group 2 'Weights and Weighing Instruments' is focusing on particular measuring instruments covered by EU Directives. These instruments are primarily Non-automatic Weighing Instruments under Directive 2014/31/EU and Automatic Weighing Instruments and Multidimensional instruments under Directive 2014/32/EU.

The main goal is to facilitate all aspects of implementation apart from inspection, enforcement and reverification.

In addition, the Working Group also deals with measuring instruments that are outside of EU Directives and covered by OIML international recommendations as Weights and Automatic instruments for weighing road vehicles in motion and measuring axle loads.

Representatives from WELMEC Members and Observer Organisations, OIML, the European Commission and industry organisations participate in the work of the Working Group.
