4th WELMEC Committee Meeting
WELMEC e.V. has organized the 4th WELMEC Committee Meeting in the period from May 3 to May 5, 2023
This is the first time in the last 3 years that the meeting could be held in person after the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, which was in force until this year. The meeting was attended by a large number of delegates and alternates, convenors and their deputies, as well as representatives of corresponding and observer organizations of the WELMEC organization. The meeting was held in Braunschweig, Germany, under the auspices of PTB and their staff and was characterized as very successful in every aspect of the organization.
During the meeting, representatives of WELMEC member countries as well as invited guests had various useful and constructive discussions on the topic of technical exchange, with a special focus on charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Europe. A study on the fitness for purpose of the legal metrology directives (2014/31/EU and 2014/32/EU) has been presented by a member of the consortium responsible for these activities (CSES).
The next WELMEC Committee meeting will be held in May 2024. The decision on the venue of the meeting will be taken by January 31, 2024, and will be published on the WELMEC website.
