This document intends to reflect on the most important issues normally taken into account by authorities – specifically in relation to accuracy classes, the role and setting of maximum permissible errors in service, acceptable maximum rate of non-conforming instruments in use and the use of measurement uncertainty when assessing instrument conformity.
